Do I need the MSE ?

My 11 yr old PC has Windows XP installed and is protected by Windows MSE. My PC has been updated regularly with all necessary updates having been made to date. The recent kb 2804527 update will not install after several attempts by Auto Update
and myself Please advise. Thank you.

Access the files on your computer via MY COMPUTER
Under the C: drive, access the WINDOWS folder
Select the SOFTWARE DISTRIBUTION folder, followed by the DOWNLOAD folder.
Delete any files within this download folder.
If you are unable to delete these files, open the command prompt (CMD) as the administrator, and type "net stop wuauserv" into the CMD prompt window. Press ENTER. This should allow you to delete the files from step 4.
Once the files are deleted, open and run the CMD as the administrator and type "wuauclt.exe /updatenow". Press ENTER.

I have a netbook (Lenovo S9) with a built in 4GB flash drive that came with an awful over-simplified Linux on it.
I added a hard drive and installed Win 7 Home Premium.
It is treating the 4GB flash as an 'internal hard drive' and refuses to allow readyboost
on it.
Since the netbook only has 1.5GB of ram, I think it would help to have the 4GB flash enabled for readyboost.

Does anyone know how to convince Win 7 that it's OK to use this internal drive for readyboost ?? Thanks for any help!

I am downloading a report from a website and then saving it as an excel file but its origin is an HTML file.
When I open it in excel I cannot create formulas off it.
So for example the number example in cell A11 I have

when I try to multiply this by 1 - it gives me

#VALUE!

Any suggestion on how to convert this so that I can use formulas? Thanks

You did not explain what specifically you share, and how.
However, you can try to delet the Networks that you have now and are Not in use.
Then reconfigure the system as you did when you first started it.
On Delete Network.

In the Network and Sharing Windows just under View active Networks.

Clicking on the Network type (the link right to the Icon) will open the Network type selection, and you can change Network type.

Alternatively, click on the icon itself (under View Your Active Networks).
