I am attempting to automate one of the many spreadsheets at work.

We deal with SEC filings and need to calendar filing dates. At the moment we use a calendar and literally count days and calendar them. I need to get this process automated bad!!!!

The issue I am having is calculating 6 months from the fiscal year end. The code I am using is:

=DATE(YEAR(F4),MONTH(F4)+J4,MIN(DAY(F4),DAY(DATE(YEAR(F4),MONTH(F4)+J4+1,0))))

Unfortunately, it isn't producing the dates needed (it works on some dates but not all).

What it's producing:

FYE Date -> Semi-Annual Date
03/31 -> 09/30 (correct)
04/30 -> 10/30 (should be 10/31)
05/31 -> 11/30 (correct)
06/30 -> 12/30 (should be 12/31)
09/30 -> 03/30 (should be 03/31)
10/31 -> 04/30 (correct)
11/30 -> 05/30 (should be 05/31)
12/30 -> 06/30 (correct)

What am I missing in my formula?
