Fast Solution to Error: After installing a printer, it has disappeared from the Devices and Printers window.

After installing a printer, it has disappeared from the Devices and Printers window.

At work, we have to use Okidata dot matrix printers.  We need two of these installed on each machine one via a USB to parallel connection (ticket) and the other is straight Parallel to Parallel (log).  While setting one machine up, I installed both of
the printers.  The ticket printer was not connected while the log printer was.  When I switched the default printer from log to ticket, log completely disappeared.  While it is still available to print from, I have not found a way to modify any of the properties
of preferences now.  Has anyone else had this issue and have you found a fix?
