Troubleshoot:Additional Data on Column Chart

Additional Data on Column Chart

I currently have a stacked column chart that represents different types of errors for various time periods.  I want to add a box/formula to the top of each column that represents the total # of employees for the same time period.  I've tried adding text
boxes to the top of the column but then I can't seem to be able to type a formula in the box.  Is there a way to "activate" the box to do this or is there some other way to do what I've described?

Keys to the Problem Additional Data on Column Chart

The formula of a text box or shape can refer to a cell on the same or another worksheet, and even to a cell in another workbook.
It cannot be a more complicated formula - you can't use calculations or functions in such a formula.
So you'll have to perform the necessary calculations and number formatting in the cell that you refer to.

Boot in Safe Mode:

  • Open Run command as previously described
  • Type MSConfig
  • Click on Boot tab
  • Tick Safe boot in Boot option
  • Select Network
  • Click Apply and OK
  • Reboot your system

Your system will boot in Safe mode with Networking. You may now try and open Windows Store and should not see any errors.
