count how many cells in a row have data

My spreadsheet has col A with a unique part number for each row.  Each part number has its details that fill up the columns on its row.
the details vary so the number of columns filled vary.  ex.  partnumer 1, has data in col B:F.  partnumber 2 has data
in col B:N.

Id like a formula that will look at each row and tell me how many cells actually have data.  So using the example above, partnumber 1 would return a value of 5, partnumber 2 would return a value of 13.

Let's say that the data never extend beyond column Y.
Assuming that the data begin in row 2, enter the following formula in Z2:
 
=COUNTA($B2:$Y2)
 
This formula can be filled or copied down as far as needed.

Tweak IE Options
